About WR2016
Theme: "HERE" (Rev. 3:20)
We often enter into trials and struggles convinced that God has left us, that God is not for us, that God is punishing us, or that God isn’t with us. But throughout Scripture, God has made it clear that the fires of pain are not indicators of His absence — they are powerful opportunities for Him to display His glorious presence. Where is God? He is here, no matter where “here” is. When: December 30, 2016 to January 2, 2017 Check-in at 4:00pm on December 30. Late check-in at 9:00pm. Workshops

Presenter: Scott Lilly
An exploration into the lives of Christians throughout history who demonstrated incredible faith. This workshop will seek to encourage and convict us to trust in the only one worthy of our faith.
"It Could Be Worse"
Presenter: Job Wong
A life of happy pessimism. Do you feel that life is unfair? This workshop will explore how we can be content with what God brings our way, as well as examine the idols in our lives that our dissatisfactions reveal.
"The Heart of Worship"
Presenters: Winter Retreat Praise Team
This workshop is designed to help youth praise team members (and future members) develop a foundation for serving in the praise team. Open to praise team members AND those who are interested in joining their church's praise team.
"Biblical Self-Defense"
Presenter: Sean Chiang
What does the Bible say about protecting ourselves and those we love? Both sides of the issue will be presented regarding justifiable self-defense, responsibility, and deadly/non-deadly force.
